ABOUT US
Steven B. Rothschild, the founder of Steven B. Rothschild, P.C. received his law degree in 1978 from Harvard Law School (where he was an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review) and his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan (where he was first in his class and the recipient of numerous honors).
Mr. Rothschild has established a reputation over the past 39 years for his expertise in commercial real estate transactions and financings (including both sides of real estate loans, purchases and sales and leases in over one thousand transactions), corporate and securities law (including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; public and private offerings; real estate, oil and gas and research and development syndications; and representation of public clients) (including representation of numerous publicly-held corporations), venture capital work (having represented all sides of venture capital transactions), leveraged buy-outs and other sophisticated corporate and lending transactions.
Having been trained with prestigious Manhattan law firms, he has represented the Charterhouse Group, Jacob Rothschild, Bankers Trust Company, LF Rothschild Unterberg and Towbin and CRU Limited; as well as Gelt Funding Corp., Equibank, Citibank and The First National Bank of Oklahoma City, as well as numerous independent oil and gas companies, on both sides of residential, commercial and asset-based lending. Mr. Rothschild has acted as a consultant to, and lecturer for, the Rockland County Small Business Development Counsel (Rockland Community College) and as consultant to the New York City Small Business Development Counsel (Pace University).
